Meet Fredrik, the Backbone of Centi’s Workflows

Read about Fredrik's transition from M&A Law to Operational Excellence in Tech

Hi Fredrik! 👋 It has been almost a year since you joined Centi, can you describe your role?

As a member of the operations team, I focus on ensuring the execution of the operational processes while supporting investors, investment professionals, and legal teams. Part of my role includes managing workflows, streamlining communication between stakeholders, and facilitating efficient collaboration across all stakeholders.

Transitioning from a role as an M&A lawyer at White & Case to your current role at Centi is quite a shift. What has been the biggest difference? Anything that really surprised you?

The biggest difference is that I now have a broader scope of responsibilities and in some cases need to be more flexible and agile as the workflows for me can shift quickly between different areas. Generally I feel that my contributions now have a more visible impact on the company as whole.

Having worked with Equity management in Private Equity from a legal perspective, how do you see technology changing the way of working?

I believe technology will be a key tool in reducing administrative and repetitive work for all stakeholders in private equity-such as investment professionals, lawyers, tax and financial advisors. It will also enhance security by ensuring, through various validations, that there is a single accurate data set rather than multiple different versions of (more or less) the same data across various inboxes.

We’ve learned you’re a cycling enthusiast, how many hours a week do you spend on the bike?

It varies a lot depending on the season and life in general but it is for sure less hours during the winter. Let’s say that it is enough hours to keep me mentally stable.

What is your dream biking destination and why?

My next planned trip is to the Dolomites in Italy, with a focus on Passo Stelvio and the Sella Ronda. It would also be fantastic to experience the Paris-Roubaix or Tour of Flanders. Additionally, there are many iconic climbs in France that every cyclist dreams of conquering.

Is there any hobby or interest of yours that might surprise people at work?

Architecture, especially when it is balanced with the environment and nature. As a result I been trying to learn to sketch (I am really bad… ).

3 things that excite you right now?

Spring is getting closer, spend time with my family and cycling season 2025.
