At Centi, we are dedicated to making ownership simple. Our belief is that broad ownership creates a better outcome for institutions, businesses and society as a whole. We believe that the individuals, whether it is investment professionals, lawyers or employees at the Private Equity owned businesses, should focus on their work without having administration drain the individuals’ energy and time.

Our journey

The need for a new way of working came from our personal experiences of investing and managing businesses for Private Equity firms. We grew frustrated by how the fear of increased administration prevented us from making value maximising decisions when it comes to employee equity programs. The ownership data, which is used by many different stakeholders, should be managed in an effective, secure and simple way. It should be enjoyable to invite employees to an equity program and it should be enjoyable to make that investment as an employee. To accomplish this, you need a software that is fast and of the highest quality - maximising simplicity and convenience without compromising on security.

We realised that there was a lack of tools that solely focus on the specific needs for Private Equity-backed businesses. We also know that broad based ownership can improve employee engagement which can benefit retention and company performance. A vision that is shared by many industry leaders, e.g. Pete Stavros, Co-Head of Global Private Equity at KKR. We are happy to see that our solution has now been adopted by Private Equity firms across various size segments and different countries across Europe.
